Sumak Sustainable Travel is a sustainable tourism platform offering tailor-made tours in Latin America. It was founded in 2012 in London (England) and it opened an office in Costa Rica in 2016. We are looking for a highly organised individual, with great attention to detail, to work in the operations of our tours in Costa Rica. This is an ideal position for a tourism professional wanting to promote sustainability within the industry.
Help with the daily operations activities
Liaise with guides, hotels and suppliers for the operations of the tours
Prepare travel programmes for our customers visiting Costa Rica
Monitor flights and deal with customers’ requests while they travel (during office hours)
Optimise the presentation of our tours
Invoicing, payments and admin
Good knowledge of Costa Rican culture and geography, ideally acquired through travelling or living in Costa Rica
Excellent English (at least written)
Tourism-related diploma or certificate (or relevant experience within the industry)
Basic experience with operations and/or administrative tasks
Excellent communication and writing skills
Passion for travel, sustainability and social innovation
